In the capacity of a Believer in Christ, and as a spiritual pragmatist, I can very confidently assert that there are tangible pain points that the western Christian community are experiencing due to a lack of understanding about the Name of God and its central role in the life of Christ’s followers.
1. SPIRITUAL POWERLESSNESS: Throughout the Gospels, we see Jesus imparting authority and power to His disciples. However, without a deep understanding of the significance of God’s Name, many Christians feel spiritually powerless, lacking the authority to overcome challenges and walk in victory in anything, beginning with their everyday lives.
2. BIBLICAL MISINTERPRETATION: The Name of God serves as a cognitive lens for interpreting Scripture. Without this understanding, Western Christians are prone to misinterpreting or misunderstanding key passages of the Bible or the literature in general, leading to theological confusion and doctrinal errors that cannot be justified with evidence.
3. SHALLOW WORSHIP: Worship is meant to be expressing the Divine Identity that was lost in the Beginning and restore by Christ, being Divine with the Divine. Yet, without a profound appreciation for the significance of God’s Name, worship can be reduced to mere outward demonstrations of adoration, devoid of the reverence and awe that the Name as an identity deserves, hindering believers from experiencing the fullness of God’s presence.
4. LACK OF DIVINE HEALING: The Name of God is intricately tied to divine healing and restoration. Without this knowledge, many Christians may struggle with physical, emotional, and spiritual ailments, unable to tap into the healing power that comes through understanding and invoking God’s Name with the posture that it defines.
5. IDENTITY CRISIS: Understanding God’s Name is essential for understanding our own identity as His Sons and Kingly Priests. Without this understanding, Western Christians struggle with a sense of purpose and identity, leading to a codependency on emotional validation, feelings of confusion, disappointment, hurt, frustration and aimlessness in their spiritual journey.
6. FAILURE TO FULFILL THE GREAT COMMISSION: Jesus instructed His disciples to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Without a deep understanding of the significance of God’s Name, Western Christians may struggle to effectively share the Gospel and fulfill the Great Commission with the signs and wonders that IS PREACHING THE GOSPEL.
7. LACK OF UNITY AND REVIVIAL: Understanding the Name of God has the power to unify believers and ignite revival. Without this understanding, the Western Christian community may remain divided and stagnant, unable to experience the transformative power of unity and revival that comes through invoking the Name of God.
In conclusion, the lack of knowledge about the Name of God within the Western Christian community leads to a myriad of pain points, ranging from spiritual powerlessness and biblical misinterpretation to shallow worship and identity crisis. It is imperative for believers to delve deep into the significance of God’s Name, as taught by Christ Himself, as well as as the Ancient Priests and Prophets, in order to overcome these challenges and experience the fullness of life as His followers.
